This course is aimed at discussing the theoretical and hands-on information required to prepare an individual to perform the role of an effective radiation safety officer. It is also useful as an overall introductory training for anyone who is exposed to radioactive materials or plays a role similar to that of a radiation safety officer.

Participants will study the technical details required to perform as a radiation safety officer and become equipped to lead businesses and industries that occupy radioactive materials and radiation generating equipment. What are the roles and responsibilities of a radiation safety officer?
